Skylar joined us in 2023 from Sue Loach (Putjade) who is one
of the UK’s top breeders of golden retrievers.
Skylar fitted in so well with the rest of our dogs and has the sweetest
temperament. Only lightly shown and taking her time to mature, she has had some
nice results in the showring. Skylar enjoys her life to the full and
particularly enjoys birdwatching (totally fascinated with anything feathered).
She is also a confident swimmer and loves to surf the waves off Carnoustie
beach, becoming a small dot in the distance in her quest to reach the many
seabirds. Skylar is a very affectionate girl and at home likes contact with
someone (canine of human) most of the time. She can usually be found cosied up
to one of our other dogs, squeezing herself into a bed that is only meant for
one. Alternatively, she loves a cuddle
with her human family and really does not like her own company; her very best
pal and partner in crime is Patsy. Trademark ‘Skylar’ is the way she lies with
her back legs stretched out behind her which seems to be her most comfortable
position
We hope to have a litter from Skylar towards the end of 2025.
