We are Scott & Tina Williamson and we live just outside Carnoustie in Angus with our 'Golden' family.
Scott has been involved in breeding and showing Golden Retrievers for well over 30 years. Scott has served on the committee of Angus and Kincardineshire Canine Association and is a level 4 judge for Golden Retrievers (approved to award Challenge Certificates). He is also a level 2 judge for Flat Coated Retrievers.
Tina became smitten with 'Goldens' having been a puppy rearer / walker for 'Guide Dogs for the Blind Association’. Her first encounter with Goldens began when Ulay, a 6 week old Guide Dog puppy came along in1998. It was love at first sight; Ulay was such a charmer and it was heart breaking to part with her when she left to start her formal Guide Dog training at just over a year old. The quest then began to find golden who would not be just a temporary family member! Fast forward a couple or so years and it was 'mission accomplished' with the start of a growing family of ‘Goldens’.
Tina initially showed her 'Goldens' and bred a litter under the affix Teandalloch in partnership with her Mum Barbara. Tina currently judges Golden Retrievers and Flat Coated Retrievers at level 2.
Roxy (Sh Ch Ronjalee Roxy Lady for Sandti ShCM) was our first jointly owned 'golden' and joining us in 2010 was the first to be shown under our affix 'Sandti'. She surpassed all our hopes and dreams and became a Show Champion in 2016. In 2011 Rio (Ronjalee Rock A Fella to Sandti (JW,ShCM) joined us and became best of friends with Roxy, his favourite aunt. Rio also had a very successful show career, achieving his Junior Warrant at 13 months old and going on to win 2 CC’s and 5 RCC’s. We will be forever grateful to their breeder Jackie Leybourne for her support and guidance and for entrusting us with Roxy & Rio who made their mark in the showring as well as at home with their ability to entertain!
In 2014 Betty (Thornywait Atomic Betty For Sandti) joined us from Top Breeder Susanna Zubair. Betty went on to do very well in the showring having 1 CC & 2 RCC’s. Betty also produced 2 lovely litters of puppies in 2017 and 2021. For us Betty is the blueprint of the perfect golden retriever with her sweet and biddable personality and just a hint of mischief.
NB. In 2021 we acquired our first Flat Coated Retriever, Joy
(Hoedun Joy Ride to Sandti) from Paul Dunnet. She does stand out from the crowd here, being black and is of course very different in character to the Goldens. She keeps everyone on their toes with her high energy and ball obsession! She is certainly a character.
Our current dogs have their individual pages with details of their pedigrees and accomplishments. First and foremost they are very much family pets who enjoy life to the full. They all have their own very individual personalities and qualities whilst retaining the typical character of this lovely breed.
